IN MEMORY OF ONETA VIOLET GUYTON GUNN
My mother passed away June 11, 2007 after a long illness. This time she had been in the hospital for 7 days with extreme pain in her side and stomach. Doctor said it was due to poor blood flow to her stomach and intestines. She was also having trouble breathing for the whole week. Even with her oxygen set at 5 liters per minute she was only able to have on average a 84% oxygen level. I was rubbing her forehead as she took her last few breathes and she passed away at 6:50 p.m. Her sister, my cousin and her husband were also with her.
Not only was she my mother, but she was my best friend. I have been taking care of her 24/7 since she had kidney failure in November 1999. These last few years she has
been depended on me for everything. The only thing she could do for herself was feed herself, I even did that the last few days. I will miss her very much but at least I know that she is no longer in Pain and has gone on to be with Jesus and God.
